A nameserver is a computer that hosts DNS (Domain Name System) zone files. DNS is the component of the Internet that uses these files to convert human-readable domain names (e.g. example.com) into computer-readable IP addresses (e.g. 192.0.32.10).
When you purchase a domain or hosting service, the HostPapa nameserver details are sent to you in your welcome email, but you can also find them in the HostPapa Dashboard.

Finding your nameservers
Option 1: HostPapa Welcome Email
Check your HostPapa Welcome email for details of your nameservers.
For most users, the nameservers will be:
ns1.hostpapa.com
ns2.hostpapa.com
Option 2: HostPapa Dashboard
You can also find your nameserver details via the HostPapa Dashboard. Log in to your HostPapa Dashboard and, in the top menu, select My Domains.
Your registered domains will be listed. Find the domain you wish to transfer and click the adjacent Details button to continue.
Your domain details will be displayed. A set of tabs allows you to navigate between pages. Click the Nameservers tab to view your details.
Private nameservers
When configuring your domain, you may have requested a Private Nameserver. Private nameservers are your own DNS nameservers. They use your domain – such as ns1.yourdomainname.com and ns2.yourdomainname.com – instead of the name of your web hosting company.
Users with private nameservers should check the HostPapa Dashboard (option 2 above) for details.
