Sharefile Pros and Cons

PROS:

◈ Prodcut and services are Top Grade 1. Great Scale 2. Easy Deployment 3. Good Support
◈ The ease of creating a link for someone to download files or documents, that otherwise could not receive attachments.
◈ We use this product to help our clients bring in documents to us safely. It has been a great tool for us and them to know our client's info is secure.
◈I have a professional business and so I like the clean, professional look of this service. It reflects well on my practice and appears more legitimate than something like Google Drive.

CONS:

◈ I have no cons for this software. It has been a true game changer for us. It saves us time and headaches.
◈ A less complex downloading screen, some customers did not understand the link and thought they had to sign up to download the files.
◈ The licensing scheme can be a bit tricky and requires some thought on how your going to use it because you can easily exceed your costs.
◈ It seems to generate a new link every time you ask to share a link on the same folder. This can get confusing if too many people are working on one particular folder.

Sharefile Support

To get help directly from ShareFile technical support, you can submit a ticket or give them a call.

Ticket response time is slow for SMBs and there’s no option to upgrade to premium customer service like there for enterprise accounts. According to ShareFile, responses typically come between 24 and 72 hours but can take longer if the queue is backed up.

If you need immediate help, you can give ShareFile a call. During a test call, we were able to get in contact with someone within fifteen minutes. We’d have liked to see a callback option instead like that offered by Box so we didn’t have to wait on hold at all.

Live chat is available too, but only during U.S. business hours and only for sales inquiries.
